I build web sites according to W3C Standards, hand crafting the underlying code so that it is as widely accessible as possible. I also pay a lot of attention to the information architecture of the site – how it fits together, how easy it is to find what you need and how to structure the information you are presenting in the best, most effective and logical way.
It’s like art – I know what I like when I see it, but I know my limits. So I employ talented visual artists to design the sites I build for my clients, and I build a lot of sites for talented designers too.
CSS, XHTML, AAA Accessibility, SEO, Web standards…
All those buzzwords mean one thing – building a web site is not just about how it looks, but also a lot about how it’s put together.
I’m an expert at putting sites together properly.
How can I help you?
I can help you with anything from a website build from scratch, something as simple as a two page brochure site up to a full blown community site powered by Drupal.
I can also help out with tricky CSS problems, or convert your visual design into valid semantic html, with expert CSS for cross browser compatibility.
Theming for Drupal, WordPress, Perch and other content management systems is where I’m currently finding I’m needed most.
Whatever it is, as long as it’s web related I’m sure I can help. (Or find you someone who can.)
